Near Masimba in Kenya, Geoffrey Ngule has been using a 0.5 HP sunlight pump since 2021 to irrigate his crops of maize, beans and sweet potatoes. He bought the pump from Sunken, one of our local distributors in Kenya.

Since 2021, he has been saving around 20,000 Kenyan shillings (141 USD) a month during the dry season on fuel, oil and maintenance, as he no longer needs to use his old diesel pump.

Total amount of water pumped per day from 2022 to 2023:

Water is pumped from a shallow well in a dry river to two ponds, also used as fish tanks:

From there, he can irrigate one hectare of crops by gravity, and distribute water to his cows and chickens.
Geoffrey also has a smartphone, so he can use the ennos sunlight pump App to check the water flow, or energy received by the solar pump.
